This position is primarily responsible for performing administrative duties and policy interpretation related to the management of his/her Division or of related operational units or program areas, developing division goals and objectives, managing staff through direct and subordinate managers and supervisors, developing policies and procedures related to division activities, developing and administering division budgets, conducting short and long range planning, generating revenue through sales leads and follow up and actively identifying and pursuing new areas of business through new customer relationships outside of ATS current customer base, monitoring of current industry trends, areas of potential business with our existing customer base, and frequent communications and regular meetings with potential, new, and existing customers in order to identify any areas of business that will grow the division.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Monitors and directs daily operations to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed, that goals and objectives are met, and that services are being provided efficiently and effectively; takes corrective action as necessary; personally handles the most difficult, sensitive or controversial projects for the division.
Develops and monitors the division’s budget; oversees financial well-being of the division by analyzing cost effectiveness and directing cost control activities; prepares, submits and justifies budget enhancement requests to the VP Operations, CEO and CFO regularly, and is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the overall profitability of the division.
Plans, organizes, administers, reviews and evaluates the work of subordinate professional, technical, office support and operational staff through subordinate levels of supervision, and assumes responsibility to ensure the advancement of all subordinates by providing direction and a clear path to succeed with training opportunities.
Provides for the selection, training, professional development and work evaluation of subordinate staff; makes recommendations on hiring, termination, promotion and discipline as required.
Confers with and represents the division and the department in meetings with other ATS departments and divisions; serves as the ATS representative when cultivating new business relationships to the benefit of the division, department and the company.
Prioritizes and allocates available division resources; reviews and evaluates program and service delivery, makes recommendations for improvement and ensures maximum effective service provisions and maximum profitability of the division.
Develops systems and maintains records that provide for the proper evaluation, control and documentation of assigned activities; prepares and directs the preparation of a variety of written correspondence, reports, procedures, directives and other materials.
Prepares verbal and written reports and summaries of all divisional activities, as required, for distribution to company officers, to include current operations, projected revenue, new business opportunities, scheduling, payroll and any other report or summary as required.
Responsible for ensuring clear, frequent and effective communications with supervisors and company officers pertaining to current events within the division.
Prepare and be accountable for attaining Divisional sales goals and direction (i.e., new market expansion etc.).
Interact with customers to develop current and future opportunities; pursue leads to establish and cultivate new relationships.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree from four-year college or university; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training
